Music, dancing and drama are among the events being organised in Carrick-on-Suir for older people during Positive Aging Week between September 23 and October 1.
There will be an official launch of the programme of events for the week that celebrates growing older in Ormond Castle on Friday, September 23 at 2.30pm.
The will followed by a historical walk of the town.
The ICA will host a display in the town on Saturday, there will be entertainment in Greenhill Nursing Home on Monday, September 26 at 2pm and a a play in Brewery Lane Theatre on Tuesday, September 27 at 8.15pm.
A Reminiscence Day will be hosted by the County Museum in the Nano Nagle Centre at 10.30am on Wednesday, September 28.
This will be followed by music and dancing in the Resource Centre on Thursday, September 29 and a music therapy workshop at the same venue on Friday, September 30 at 2.30pm.
Events to mark Positive Aging Week are being organised by the RAPID programme, under co-ordinator Margo Hayes Hennessy, the Town Council and Active Retirement Club.
