Convent of Mercy School Reunion

Calling on all past pupils of the Convent in New Inn, come back for a day of laughter and memories on this Saturday, June 22. Mass will be at 2pm in New Inn Parish Church and then down to the New Inn Community Centre for a chat and a meal. The Big 1 Market/Car boot sale is reopening in the new location of Fluery’s Antiques in the Square in Cahir on Sunday, June 23.

Comhaltas

Friday, June 21, is National Music Day and performers from our local branches of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann will perform at four venues that day.

Performances will take place in Cahir National Schools from 10am to noon, Cahir Castle from 1.15pm to 2.30pm and South Tipperary Arts Centre, Clonmel (Nelson St) from 3pm to 4.45pm. Don’t miss this chance to see talented musicians perform traditional Irish music.

Lions Club

Book Sale

The second hand book shop has reopened once again in the unit beside the Lazy Bean and is selling books for €1.

All proceeds go to Cahir and District Lions Club, a very worthy cause indeed.

The shop will remain open for the next couple of weeks so don’t miss your chance to stock up on summer reading or indeed rainy day reading and all for a €1.

Community Lotto

There was no jackpot winner on June 12.

There were four lucky dip winners each winning €25: Marian O’Donnell, Geragh, Anglesboro, Kilmallock; Tess Lonergan, C/o Day Care Centre; Karen O’Donovan, The Square, Cahir; and Eamonn Elliott, Beechpark, Cahir.
