Funding for Tipp community programme

South Tipperary Fine Gael TD Tom Hayes has announced that funding in excess of €16,000 has been awarded to the Tipperary Community Safety Project, a FAS funded Community Employment Programme aimed at providing services to older and more vulnerable people of meagre means. The money will go towards the purchase of 2 transport vans and a Porta-Cabin.

The money will go towards the purchase of 2 transport vans and a Porta-Cabin.

Speaking on the announcement, Deputy Hayes said - “I’m delighted to confirm the allocation of €16,100 to the Tipperary Community Safety Project. The vans purchased with the use of this funding will be used by FAS Community Employment participants to travel to their various workplaces, carry work tools, collect materials and transport refuse to local authority dumps. The Porta-Cabin mentioned will be used to provide canteen facilities and office space for the Community Employment participants.”
