BALLYLOOBY/CASTLEGRACE GAA CLUB AGM The Senior Club’s AGM was recently held where a nice crowd attended in our clubhouse, the following officers elected Chairman Alan Fitzgerald, Vice Chairperson Mary Fahey, Secretary Michael Burke, Treasurer John Doyle, PRO Alan Kennedy, Cultural Officer Derek Coffey, County Board Rep Patrick Morrissey, South Board Rep Alan Kennedy, Committee Members Harry Morgan, Tomas Meehan

On the night it was passed that we apply to go intermediate football which since has been successful and we will compete at the intermediate football grade for the first time since the mid eighties.

Trainers for the coming year as follows Intermediate Football and Junior a Hurling Seamus Roche, Junior B Hurling Alan Kennedy Richie Morrissey Under 21 B Football and Hurling Alan Kennedy, Steven Morgan, Eamon Ryan. Minor C Football and Hurling Steven Morgan, Eamon Ryan, Alan Kennedy. We are currently looking for people come onto our committee and also to help as team selectors, if interested please contact Michael Burke on 0866078961 GAA CLUB MEMBERSHIP Club membership is now due and can be paid to club PRO Alan Kennedy. We have reduced our membership rates for the coming year in order to try to increase the number of members within the club. Adult player €E40, Player 21 to 16 €E10, Adult non player €E10, Family €E30. All of these rates will increase after March 17, so we encourage everyone to get their membership paid before this date. Contact Alan Kennedy for more Information on 086 0537342 UNDER 21 FOOTBALL Our under 21 footballers are back training since early January and have their first game next weekend on Sunday, February 5, against Clonmel Og in Cahir at 2.30pm. Please come and support the team in our first championship game of the year. MEDAL PRESENTATION NIGHT Saturday, February 25, in the Village Inn our winning minor and junior teams will be presented with their medals from last year. We have music by Finbar and Marc along with finger food on the night. Everyone is welcome to come along and join the celebrations for what was a great year for the club last year. Events will start at 8.30pm.

Congratulations to the Brian Borus girls who were part of the Colaiste Dún Iascaigh team who won the junior ‘A’ Munster Final against Loreto Fermoy. Well done to all involved! The Brian Borus representives on the day were Kate O’ Brien, Megan Heffernan, Maureen Murphy, Claire Walsh, Caoimhe Condon, Rebecca English, Jessica Myers and Fiona Burke.

The death occurred unexpectedly of Mrs Tess Murphy (nee Morrissey) Burgess Mansion on Friday last. We extend our sympathy to her daughter Mary-Anne, sons Michael, James and John-Joseph, daughter-in-laws, Anne, Aileen and Joan, grandchildren extended family and friends. Mrs Murphy was laid to rest after her requiem mass in Ballylooby last Sunday
