CAISLEAN NUA COMHALTAS BRANCH

CAISLEAN NUA COMHALTAS BRANCH

Caislean Nua Comhaltas held a registration night for music classes recently and we were delighted with the interest, as we had over 40 students between the ages of five and 16 years to sign up for classes.

The instruments being taught include: tin whistle, fiddle, accordion, guitar and flute. Classes commenced last week and will be held in Tigh na nDaoine on Wednesday nights. For anyone else interested in getting lessons, please contact Triona on 087 9525770. We also had a few expressions of interest for adult classes and we would be delighted to get an adult class up and running, if we had sufficient interest. If you are interested in having lessons, please contact the branch secretary on the number above, email caisleannuaec@gmail.com to find us on Facebook. Best of luck to all those taking up an instrument for the first time and it is great to see music classes return to Newcastle and we thank the three tutors, Niamh, Brendan and Sean for travelling to Newcastle and giving their time for these classes.
