A large attendance enjoyed our Annual Christmas/New Year dinner and party in Clerihan Community Hall on last Sunday, January 29. Thanks to all the people who made the effort to come to this social occasion. Sincere thanks to the organisers and to all the volunteers who turned up to help. Thanks also to all our most generous sponsors. It was a very enjoyable afternoon helped in no small measure by the excellent music provided by Stefan and Pat. Thanks to all who organise and support our Progressive 25 each Wednesday night in the Community Hall. The proceeds of the Progressive 25 are the main source of funds not only for the party but also for the ongoing upkeep of the Community Hall.

Training has commenced for all juvenile teams as well as our U21 team for the forthcoming season, It is also good to see our Junior hurling team have wintered well and are eager to improve on last years performance.

Our U21 footballers are out in the championship next Sunday against Grangemockler in Fethard at 12 noon, this is a very young team and we wish the lads well.

Our medal presentation night was very well attended and we would like to thank David Power and County board Chairman Sean Nugent for presenting the medals and for their encouraging words of advice for the club. We would also like to thank those who helped out with refreshments and a special word to Tommy Walsh for the tae.

The club will hold a general meeting in the community hall this Friday at 8.30pm. all members are requested to attend.
