Our Intermediate footballers take to the field for their fist championship game against Ballyporeen in Clogheen on Sunday, April 15, at 3.30pm.
Our minor footballers are down to play Carrick Davins earlier on the same day, Sunday April 15, at 12pm in Ned Hall Park.
Our under 16 footballers got back to winning ways against Grangemockler last Thursday winning on a score of Ballylooby/Castlegrace 3-6 Grangemockler 1-7. We now play Fethard in Ballylooby at 6.30pm on Thursday, April 12, in the next round.
Our under 14 footballers also had a good win during the week against St Patricks Final score 5-9 to 1-8. We also took on Clonmel Og but suffered a defeat in this game. We play Fr Sheehys next in Ballylooby on Monday, April 16, at 6.45pm

Tipperary Supporters Club
Tipperary Supporters Club was the first GAA supporters club and was setup to offer financial support to the Tipperary Senior Hurling team. Tipperary Supporters Club is a sub-committee of Tipperary County Board but has its own officer board and executive committee. The Member’s gift in 2012 will be a Drawstring sports bag with the Tipperary Supporters Club Logo. Each member will also receive a Tipperary Supporters Club car sticker and a 2012 Membership Card. Congratulations to the Tipperary Ladies U16 team who got off to a winning start in the first round of the Munster Championship against Clare, in Doonbeg last Wednesday. Brian Borus representatives were Claire Walsh and Maureen Murphy. Well done to all involved! Well done to Helena Walsh (Ballylooby) and Niamh Walsh (Clogheen), who took part in the football trials for primary game. Training- u14/16 Monday 7pm to 8pm, Clogheen u8/10/12 Thursday 6pm to 7pm, Clogheen. Registration is now due for all players. Please bring it to the next training session! u8/10’s - €E20. Under 12’s and upwards - E32. Girls can’t play games without registration! Well done to our u16s who took on Galtee Rovers in the 2nd round of the Championship. After being down a goal at half time, the girls with hard work and determination managed to come out comfortable winners when the final whistle was blown! LIAM LYNCH COMMEMORATION
The annual Liam Lynch Commemoration on April 15 will commence at Tigh na nDaoine, Newcastle with a ceremonial raising of the tricolour at 2pm. A march will take place from the Community House to Newcastle Church where Mass will be offered at 2.30pm Following Mass, refreshments will be served in the Community Hall in Newcastle, followed by an Oration which this year will be delivered by Senator Mark Daly SYMPATHY Sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Wm O’Donnell, Clogheenafishogue who was laid to rest in Ballylooby Cemetery on Sunday last.
