TIDY TOWNS

It is that time of year again! Grange Tidy Villages AGM will be held in Grange hall on Thursday, April 13, at 8pm. All members are kindly asked to attend. New members are welcome! On March 31, a clean-up took place in the village. A lot of hard work was done on the day so thank you to everyone who participated. A special word of thanks to SAP Nurseries, who donated all of the shrubs in the village! The next clean up will be held on Saturday, April 15, at 2pm. Anyone who could come along for an hour to pick up litter, sweep up or help with weeding would be very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has already helped make the village look so well.

FOROIGE

The next meeting of Grange Foroige will be on Friday, April 21, at 7.30pm. See you all then! We are urgently looking for new leaders and volunteers who would like to come along and help. We would particularly appreciate it if more men could get involved. If anyone would like to give 1.5 hours of their Friday night to the local teenagers, can you please contact Sharon on 087-4120893. Our club has 29 members and if we cannot recruit more leaders or volunteers, we will not be able to continue with the club so your help would be greatly appreciated.

RUBY ANNIVERSARY

Our very best wishes to Anne and Pat Casey, Ballindoney, as they celebrate 40 years of wedded bliss! Congratulations and every health and happiness for the future from all your friends and neighbours.

LIAM LYNCH COMMEMORATION

The Annual Liam Lynch Commemoration is on April 15 and will commence at Tigh na nDaoine, Newcastle with a ceremonial raising of the tricolour at 2pm. A march will take place from the Community House to Newcastle church where mass will be offered at 2.30 pm. Following mass, refreshments will be served in the community hall in Newcastle, followed by an oration which, this year, will be delivered by Senator Mark Daly.
