Cahir Park AFC “Football For All” held it’s open day on Saturday, October 11. The programme takes place at Cahir Park every Saturday between 2pm and 3pm.

The programme which is now in its fourth year, promotes inclusion and provides all players with the opportunity to be part of a team. “Football for All” reaches out to those who may benefit from both physical exercise and regular social interaction. It allows children of all abilities to play football to their potential.

As well as the weekly football activities, the Cahir Park “Football for all team” takes part in a series of blitzs in the Munster region. These competitions are organised by the FAI. A national blitz is also held in Dublin each year .These competitions provide the children with a rewarding experience of competing as a team outside of their own club .The FAI estimates that it has 3,500 participants involved in such programmes currently.

Much of the success of “Football for All” is owed to the support from Cahir Park AFC, the parents of the children participating and their family members. Their commitment has allowed “Football for All” to develop into a very successful programme. We hope for continued success into the future.
