SENIOR CITIZENS TRIP
Our trip this year takes us to New Ross, Co. Wexford, on Tuesday, July 31. The bus will leave the church car park at 10am and will visit Ross Tapestry, Dunbrody Famine ship and have a bus tour of John F Kennedy Arboretum. There will be time for shopping and finish with dinner. Cost of the trip is €E40. If you would like to join us then give your name and fare to any member of the committee.
KILFEACLE PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP
Kilfeacle Parent and Toddler Group will hold its annual “Big Toddle” for Barnardos on Saturday, June 23, at 2pm in Kilfeacle. All are welcome. Sponsorship cards are available from the group which continues to meet every Wednesday morning from 9.45am to 11.45am in Kilfeacle Community Centre. New members are always welcome.
GOLDEN NS 75TH ANNIVERSARY
Mass will take place at 6.30pm followed by refreshments in Golden school and launch of Golden Days - a book on the history of Golden N.S. There will also be a fantastic photo exhibition of old school photos and ones from around the village. It will be a great night and hopefully a large number of past pupils will come back for look around.
TIPP PRIMARY HURLING TEAM
Best of luck to Niall Heffernan, Thomastown school, who is playing on the county Tipperary primary schools hurling team this sun in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork. It is a great honour for the school and juvenile club. Tipp will be playing cork in the schools game at half time of the Tipp v Cork Munster senior hurling championship game.

St Joseph’s Young Priests’ Society’s Pilgrimage takes place on Saturday, June 23. Bus leaves Marian Hall Tipperary at 8am. Fare is €E15. Contact Madeleine on 062 31968.
GOLDEN KILFEACLE FESTIVAL
Fashion show tickets for Friday, June 29, will be available on door only €E10. Night will kick off with champagne and chocolate fountain reception at 7.45pm followed by the show at 8.30pm. Congratulations to our final queen Ashley Carroll from Limerick. Good luck to all 14 queens and sincere thanks to all our queen sponsors.
This year there will be three weekends away to raffle during the festival on Friday night, Saturday evening and Sunday. Tickets are only €E2 each so well worth a go.
Interview of all the queens will take place on the festival stage at 2pm on Sunday with local celebrity Michael Fitzgerald. The annual auction and timber auction will follow these interviews. The 2012 Queen of the Suir will be announced at our festival dance on the Sunday night. Dancing will be to Rebel Hearts from 11pm till late. Please come along and support our Festival. It promises to be a great weekend with something for everyone.
