Gaelic 4 Others
16 of our team travelled to Grange last Monday to play the Ardfinnan Ladies. A big thanks to Helen Hogan who came and mentored us for the game.
On Saturday past, 15 of our ladies travelled to Mallow to represent St. Patrick’s in the Gaelic 4 Others Munster Blitz. 20 teams took part with each team playing 4 shortened games. We played Finuge St. Senans (Kerry), Mayfield (Cork City), Mourneabbey Cougars (Mallow) and Drom Inch (Tipperary). This was Shane Ivors last official duty as our coach and a huge thanks to him for his time, endless energy and enthusiasm. We’ll really miss you but promise to keep at it. Good luck to you and your lovely family.
Best of luck to Fran Vanoli (Player of the Season) and her family on their new adventure, we will all really miss you.
The challenge game arranged against Fethard last Thursday evening had to be cancelled because of the weather. The rain however did hold off for the away challenge game against Gortnahue on Saturday evening past. Playing with wind, St. Patrick’s led by a point at half time 1.3 to 1.2, however Gortnahue materialized on playing down the hill and with the wind in the second half and ended up winning the game easily. Our thanks to the Gortnahue Ladies for the very sporting challenge game and best of luck to them in the upcoming junior championship.
