The next meeting of Our Lady’s Sodality will be on Monday, June 25, starting with Holy Mass in Knockavilla Church, at 7.30 p.m. As this is the last meeting before the Summer recess, members from all parishes are requested to attend.


Congratulations and well done to the boys and girls of Annacarty Primary School on being awarded their third Green Flag on May 17, at the Silversprings Hotel, Cork. Pupils Leah Lawrence, Emily White and Shaunagh Walsh represented the school at the presentation of the Awards Ceremony. Thanks to the whole school community, to all parents, grandparents, FAS staff and local community who together with the management and staff of the school helped to achieve this honour. The third Green Flag will be raised at Annacarty N.S. on Thursday June 28, at 2.30 p.m.


The Under 11 Camogie team from Annacarty N.S. won the County final of same at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Thursday, June 7, in a match against Ballinree N.S. on a scoreline of 3-2 to 1-2. Congratulations to the team of Catherine Coughlan (captain), Sarah Jane Furlong, Sarah Burke, Gemma Fos, Rosanna O’Donnell, Rachel O’Dwyer, Eva O’Dwyer, Charlotte Curry, Laura Heffernan, Scarlett O’Brien, Laura Looby, Leah Heffernan. Coached and supported by Principal; Olivia Ryan, Management; Marian Anderson, Sarah O’Neill, Padraig O’Dwyer and Ciara Ryan and Ciara Kelly, Codie Deegan and Shaunagh Walsh kept up the water supply.


To achieve all of above, a little bit of funding is needed in no uncertain way, so a Bring and Buy Sale will be held in the school on Wednesday, June 27, at 1 p.m. towards school funds. Your support is respectfully requested. Please come along, gifts will be greatly appreciated and of course purchasing support will be appreciated also. All will be welcome.
