Nell Fitzgerald would like to thank all those who subscribed so generously to the recent church gate collection in aid of Cancer Society which totalled €460. Thanks also to Breda Landers and Mary Buckley who gave their time in helping out at the masses.

OOLA YOUTH CLUB

Will reopen on September 8, to children (eight to 12 years) from 6pm to 7pm, teens (first year to 18) from 7pm to 8.30pm, with registration on the night. Youth club takes place on a Saturday evening in Oola Community Centre. Members welcome from the parish or who go to school locally. We are recruiting new leaders at present who will receive certified training and be placed on a rota. Contact PRO Vivienne Dee or any of the leadership team.

SOCIAL & OLD TIME DANCING

Cappawhite Resource Centre on September 1. Music by Brian McDermot. Dancing from 9.30pm to 12.30am. Admission €8. Proceeds to the Day Care Centre.

JUNIOR B Oola 2-10, Knockane 0-15

Just a single point also separated the teams at the final whistle but this time it was Oola who held the point advantage.

Oola 2-8 Newcastle West 0-12

Oola were happy to hear the final whistle with just a two point advantage at the end.
