Carrick Swan junior hurlers’ county league final against Clonoulty/Rossmore has been rescheduled for Sunday next. The Club wishes the junior team the best of luck and also wishes the senior hurling team all the best in their next county championship game.
The minors defeated Mullinahone 2-20 to 3-13 last Wednesday.
Carrick Swan U-12, U-14 and U-16 hurlers have qualified for matches in the knockout stages of South competitions, which should take place between this week and next.
The U-10 hurlers took part in a Mullinahone tournament over the weekend and were successful in all their games. Members of this panel also played a game against St Patrick’s last week. The U-12 hurlers travelled to Littleton on Saturday last for county Go-Games but disappointingly there was little activity there with many clubs failing to appear on the day. All the players, however, had an enjoyable day out.
Numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto draw were 5, 12, 21 and 23. The jackpot prize of €3,500 wasn’t won and three players matched three numbers to win €70 each.
Carrick Swan Club thanks all those who continue to play the lotto and reminds those who might like to join that weekly entry costs €2 and this can be paid to any committee member, or to any lotto promoters who will call to collect each week.
This week’s jackpot prize is €3,750. The public’s continued support helps the Club provide for all its juvenile players and is very much appreciated.
The Tipperary intermediate hurlers, and club representative, Gerry Walsh, are wished the best of luck in next Saturday’s All-Ireland hurling final against Kilkenny in Thurles.
