The Hollyford Golf Society held their summer outing to Rosscrea Golf Club on Saturday, June 17. It was a beautiful sunny day leading to some very enjoyable play. Overall winner was Denis Fahey, second was Jim Ryan (Rue).
Congratulations to Ita Ryan (Malt), nee Slattery, Reafadda, who celebrated her 90th Birthday recently. Ita marked the milestone in her life with mass and a party for family and friends at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Sean Altis, Glenmorgan. We wish Ita many more happy birthdays.
The Rearcross play due to be held in the Community Centre on June 15 was cancelled due to the death of the brother of one of the members of the cast. Tickets purchased can be used when the play is rescheduled.
We tender our sympathy to Mary Ryan (Malt) Reafadda on the death of her niece Breda Ryan, Roscrea. Burial took place in Golden Cemetery. Rest in peace.
Proceeds of the recent Irish Cancer Society Collection amounted to €E426. Many thanks to all who contributed. Next weekend after masses on Saturday and Sunday June 23/24, a Tea/Coffee Day in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society will be held in the Community Room. Please support.

Junior B Hurling
We play Rosegreen in our second match of the championship on Friday, June 22,at 7.45pm in Clonoulty.
Insurance and membership is now due and payable to Liam Nolan. The price is €E50 for working adults, otherwise €E25 including students. Membership for non-players is €E10.

U-12 E Premier Games Hurling: Our second team opened the hurling season for the U-12 grade on Monday evening last in Kilcommon. The visitors were Arravale Rovers, who had a more physical side in comparison to our young squad. The visitor got off to a good start and a had a two score lead at half time. Into the second half the game went with our lads upping their game and growing in confidence. We got a well earned draw from the game when we equalised with a free. The panel was. U16 Football: Best of luck to our football team in the county semi final on Saturday. We are in a combo with Emly once again and after winning the division title again we now face Holycross in Dundrum.
