Parents Council AGM-

The annual general meeting of Newcastle Parents Council will be held in Scoil Mhuire at 8pm on Thursday night 15th November.

Guest speaker on the night will be Anne Marie McCarra who will give a talk on fitness and healthy eating for children.

Principal Miss Moloney will attend on the night, parents and new parents welcome.

Fund Raising Quiz-

“Know your sport” table quiz will take place in the Glenview Lounge, Goatenbridge on Friday night next 9th November at 9pm. Tables of four: 20 euro per table. Proceeds to the Millie Lonergan Fund.

Millie is a young child who will be undergoing major life changing surgery in a Leicester hospital in England at the end of this month. Your support would be very much appreciated.

Holy Souls- A novena mass for the holy souls will commence in the parish on Monday 12th, Wednesday 14th, Friday 16th and Sunday 18th November in Fourmilewater.

Masses in Newcastle Tuesday 13th, Thursday 15th, Saturday 17th and Monday 19th November. Weekday masses will be at 7.30pm, except Saturday at 6.30pm and Sunday at 11am.

Readers of the Word- Saturday evening at 6.30pm: Joan O Dwyer. Eucharist minister please check notice in Church porch.

Cards- Winners on Thursday night were: J O Gorman, N Grant, D Moloney and P Maher. Lucky table: J Loughnane and S Dwyer. Raffle: A McCarthy, J Loughnane, M Murphy, B Culligan, N Grant and E Byrne.

Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday night next November 7th at 8pm in the clubroom. All are welcome.

Congratulations- to Brian Sweeney and Lorraine on the birth of their baby girl Robyn.

TIGH NA NDAOINE

Fundraising Sale of Work: In aid of Newcastle Community Youth & Resource Group, Tigh na nDaoine will take place on Saturday 17th November at 7pm in the community hall.

If anyone has anything they would like to donate to this sale of work before this date please contact Mandy on (087) 1846393. All delph, furniture, clothes, toys, unwanted gifts etc greatly appreciated.

Club 66 & Foróige join together: As part of 2012 being the European Year of Active Ageing & Solidarity between Generations, Club 66 & members of Foróige Youth Club joined together on Thursday 1st November to enjoy dancing, a chat over dinner and bingo.

An enjoyable time was had by all and we plan on doing it again soon.
