Faugheen ICA

Faugheen IFA Guild’s annual cake sale and raffle will take place on Sunday, December 9 after Mass.

As usual, the proceeds of the sale and raffle will be used to subsidise the 2013 senior citizens’ outing and Newtown School children’s outing.

All donations of cakes, bread, buns and produce will be gratefully accepted and deeply appreciated.

Preliminary arrangements for the annual cake sale and raffle were discussed at the guild’s November meeting.

Rathgormack Ramblers

The second leg of Rathgormack Ramblers East Munster Way Walk took place last Sunday.

The Ramblers will walk Milk Hill and Glenstookaun Stream this Sunday, November 11 and they will walk Coumlara and Sgilloges Loop on Sunday, November 25.

The Club will host a social night and fundraising raffle in Maudie’s Pub in Rathgormack on Friday, November 30.

Autism Support Group

South Tipperary Autism Support Group’s thank the organising committee and the people of Rathgormack and surrounding areas who fundraised by partaking in a sponsored walk last June, which raised more than €E8100.

The proceeds from this fundraiser were presented to South Tipperary Autism Support Group and Waterford Intellectual Disability Association. South Tipperary Autism Support Group would most sincerely like to thank the Organising Committee and the Rathgormack Community for their generosity and help on the night. An enjoyable evening was had by all.

‘Odd Couple’ tickets

Theatre Fans are flocking to the Heritage Centre, Carrick on Suir to secure a seat for Brewery Lane Theatre’s production of Neil Simon’s hit comedy “The Odd Couple”.

The play won the 1965 Tony Award for Best Author of a Play, and is one of the most famed stage comedies in American theatre history.

The Odd Couple opens at Brewery Lane on Thursday, November 15 and will run for just eight nights, closing on Thursday, November 22.

Admission costs E15 and curtains rise at 8.15pm.

Ballyneale FC fundraiser

Ballyneale FC’s annual fundraising night took place in Josie O Neill’s on Sunday, November 28.

It proved to be a great event with all attending having an enjoyable night.

The Club thanks all who bought tickets. The top prize of two nights in Whites Hotel of Wexford was won by Ciaran Ryan.

The Club wishes to thank Josie O’Neills for the venue and food on the night and all the event’s sponsors.

Meanwhile, the club’s next match is an away league game against Two-Mile-Borris this Sunday, November 11.

Table quiz

A table quiz in aid of Ballyneale’s Tidy Villages will take place in Josie O’Neills Pub, Ballyneale at 8.30pm this Friday, November 9.
