A gala concert at St Nicholas Church in Carrick-on-Suir raised €5,725 for the church’s heating fund. The Parish of St Nicholas thank the concert organisers Bernie and William Lonergan. The Suir Valley Choir, the other participating choirs. all who helped in any way and the many who supported the event.
The Year of Faith sessions continue in the Nano Nagle Community Resource Centre next Monday, November 12 from 7.30pm to 9pm. All are welcome.
The second session deals with the liturgical year and asks what are the different seasons about and how are the readings chosen?
Canon Edmond Cullinan PP is the facilitator. The session will be followed by a discussion and a cup of tea.
