It was a hard fought match with great displays of hurling from both sides.

Sinead Kennedy registered the first point for Cahir and Roisin Howard added another two points. Silvermines, however, led by 2 points at half time.

Cahir fought back in the second half and Roisin Howard scored two great goals to put Cahir in the lead. Cahir then missed a number of scoring opportunities due to great goalkeeping by Silvermines.

At the other end, Silvermines scored a goal to level the game.

Cahir now seemed to dominate all over the pitch and launched many attacks on the Silvermines goal but could not register the scores.

The referee blew the whistle and the match ended in a draw. Final score: Cahir 2-3 to Silvermines 1-6.
