South Tipp County Council lends support to Fethard Community Projects

Fethard community received a welcome boost on Monday last when South Tipperary County Council announced the recipients for their Community Facilities Scheme 2012. Four Fethard projects are to benefit from the scheme.

Fethard community received a welcome boost on Monday last when South Tipperary County Council announced the recipients for their Community Facilities Scheme 2012. Four Fethard projects are to benefit from the scheme.

Fethard Community Council will receive a grant of €74,900 towards the development of a new playground across from the Youth Centre on the Cashel Road.

Fethard Business and Tourism Group will receive a grant of €105,000 towards the renovation and conservation of Tholsel (Town Hall). Building to be leased to Fethard Community Council.

Fethard GAA will receive a grant of €8,000 towards outdoor lighting of sports areas.

Fethard Community Field will receive a grant of €40,000 towards a walking track, car park and drainage.

Fethard & Killusty Community Council would like to sincerely thank South Tipperary County Council and our local councillors for their support, encouragement and confidence in Fethard Community.
