The Davin GAA Club’s Cul Camp skills winners competed in the County Skills Competition in Dr Morris Park, Thurles last week. A bus and food for all those who travelled were supplied by the Club, which thank all the parents and adults, who travelled with the children. It was a memorable occasion for the children to represent their club at county level.
There is no update on the minor championship as yet. The competition is starting to drag on a bit and hopefully the Club will get some information on games soon.
The Clonea U-14 tournament fixture against Tramore was cancelled at the weekend because of bad weather.
The Davin Club is awaiting news of the rescheduled game from the organisers and will pass on the information to players as soon as it is available.
The second U-12 game will be played this coming weekend in Carrigeen. All players will be notified of the match by text.
A training night for U-14s, U-16s and minors will take place every Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm.
They will include a lot of skills practice on the hurling wall.
These sessions will be beneficial to anyone considering joining the various development panels this winter.
Indoor training will continue every Thursday from 6pm to 7pm for U-6s and from 7pm to 8pm for U-8s.
The Club is delighted with the numbers attending the indoor sessions and thanks all the adults and parents who give up their time to help out in the hall.
The Monday football sessions will be stopped until early next year or as soon as the weather allows.
The Club’s lotto jackpot prize wasn’t won last week.
Five tickets matched three numbers and their owners received €E40 each. The numbers drawn were 16, 20, 21 and 26.
