The annual general meeting of St Molleran’s GAA Club’s juvenile players section attracted a large attendance, who discussed and debated some very important club issues.

The following Juvenile Committee officers were elected at the meeting: Chairman: Paul Keane, Vice-Chairman: Robbie Dunne; Secretary: Sean Reade; Treasurer: John Finucane; Academy Chairman: Aidan Reade; Registrar: Derek Walsh; PRO: Willie Foley; Equipment Officer: Aidan Reade.

The Club was very satisfied with the improvement in all its underage teams last year.

The Club’s Juvenile Academy, under the watchful eye of academy chairman Aidan Reade, received special praise.

The Club is always looking for new members, especially adults to lend a hand with the academy where the numbers of children attending training grows on a weekly basis.

It’s hoped to resume the Academy in March. Anyone interested in getting involved should contact any committee member.

The annual general meeting for the Club’s adult section will take place this Sunday, January 20 at 2:30pm in the Community Centre, Carrickbeg.

The agm is the most important meeting of the year. It’s the official platform for people to air their views and will also give anyone interested the chance to get involved with the day-to-day running of their club.

The past year was very succesful for St Molleran’s both at adult and juvenile level and the Club hopes 2013 will bring further improvement.

If you went to be part of a club with a bright future, why not come along to the AGM.

No one will be forced into taking up a position. All are welcome, with new residents in the area especially welcome.

Meanwhile, the weekly bingo session continue every Friday in the Community Hall, Carrickbeg at 8.30pm.

The Club really appreciates the support the bingo receives from the general public and its members.

It also thanks its members, who organise and oversee the running of this very popular fundraiser.

Training for U-13s, U-14s and U-15’s will begin soon in preparation for the upcoming season. All parents will be notified of the training schedule in the near future.

Congratulations to club player Dave Foley and Ashley Jane Barry on the birth of their new baby boy Blake.

The Club extends sincere sympathy to the Hogan family on their recent bereavement.
