SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and many friends of the Very Rev Fr James Griffin of Killorglin and Tralee, Co.Kerry who death occurred last week. Fr Griffin was late parish priest of the Sacred Heart Parish, Waterford.

Fr Griffin spent many of his earlier years as curate in the parish of Touraneena and Fourmilewater and during his time in our parish he was an active curate that made many friendships which lasted throughout the decades. Whilst Fr Griffin was a Kerry man through and through, the city of Waterford and county, held a very special place in his heart. Funeral mass was held last Tuesday in Balloonagh convent chapel, Tralee, followed by removal to St. Mary’s parish church, Dungarvan, with burial last Wednesday in the adjoining cemetery.
