Split The Pot fundraiser for St Theresas Hospital and Knockmealdown Active was launched last Monday. 1st Mary (Tuts) Kenneally €214, second Margaret Corbett €107, sellers prize Fruit and Veg Shop Clogheen. Next draw April 1.

St. Mary’s N.S. thanks Clogheen Amateur Drama Group for donating the proceeds of their first night’s performance to the school. Thanks to businesses who donated prizes for the raffle and who sold raffle tickets and thank you to the Parent’s Council and everyone who supported the school. Now taking enrolments for September. SYMPATHIES

Sympathy to Josie English, Croughkeal, Clogheen, on the sudden death of her mother Peggy Fahy, Rosemount, and formerly from Outrath, Cahir. Peggy was a native of Knocklong, Co Limerick. Her remains were removed from Costigans funeral home to Cahir Church on Saturday last, and following requiem mass on Sunday she was laid to rest in the local cemetery beside her husband Mick. Peggy is survived by her daughter Josie, sons Francis and Tom, and her extended family.

BRIAN BORUS LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB

Brian Boru’s U16s won against Sliabhnamban in their final round game on Sunday. Well done to Jane Hyland, Clogheen NS, and Linda Murphy, Ballylooby NS, who represent their schools in the primary games football trials. Well done to Laura Morrissey who was part of the Tipp U14 county team that played Waterford. Best of luck to Jessica Myers, part of the Tipp U16 county team who take on Cork next Wednesday and also to Garret Byrne, selector. Congrats to Jackie O’Gorman, Jennifer Grant, Mairead Morrissey and Trisha Hickey who are part of the Tipperary Senior team who defeated Down last Sunday. Training for all U6,8,10 and 12 girls Wednesday in Clogheen at 6pm.
