Stations of the Cross on Good Friday

St. Johns Famine Graveyard committee will hold the annual Stations of the Cross at the graveyard on Good Friday at 11am on the Old Road, Tipperary Town.

Vintage and Custom Rally

The Tipperary Vintage and Custom Rally takes place this Easter weekend at the Tipperary Racecourse, Limerick Junction. Gerry Humphries will be along with his stunt plane again and of course the popular dog show and will be held so do bring along your canine friends, there is a class and prizes for all types. Following the success of the custom and modified car section in 2012 there will be an even greater turn out of souped-up and kitted out cars on show to marvel at. Other highlights for 2013 is a Road Repair Crew complete with vintage roller and other repair equipment coming along to show us how it used to be done. Another new feature is a motocross team demonstrating their skills over various obstacles. A great day out for all the family with a fantastic raffle major prize - a brand new ‘Rider’ 50cc moped. Easter Eucharist at Christ the King

An outdoor celebration of the Easter Eucharist will take place at Christ the King, Glen of Aherlow on Easter Sunday morning at 8am. Aherlow Gospel Choir will lead the singing and the celebrant will be Dean Philip Knowles.

Everyone is welcome to come and experience this beautiful event in such a superb and unique setting.

Other Easter Day ceremonies are at St. Mary’s Church, Tipperary Town at 10am, Dundrum at 10.00am and the Cathedral Cashel at 11.30am.

Art Camp at Excel

The Tipperary Excel is arranging an Art Camp for children ages 6-12 on Tuesday April 2 to April 5, inclusive. Time 11 am to 1 pm.

Cost €45 per child and €80 for two children from the same family.

Celebration of Drama

A Celebration of Drama takes place at the Tipperary Excel Arts & Cultural centre, Tipperary Town, over the weekend of Friday, April 12 to Sunday April 15, 2013.

Friday, April 12 - Thurles Drama Group presents Arthur Miller’s, All My Sons

Saturday, April 13 - Ballyduff Drama Group presents Brian Friel’s, Dancing at Lughnasa.

Nightly Admission: €15 & €10 Book both plays for €25. Show time is 8pm.

The weekend will include a series of workshops titled: ‘Introduction to Drama’. The Lir, National Academy of Dramatic Arts, will deliver these workshops. Bookings: 062 80520.

C.J. Kickham Brass & Reed Band 
Remembrance Mass

The C.J. Kickham Brass & Reed Band will hold a Remembrance Mass for deceased members, family members and friends of the Band. The Mass will be held in the Bandroom in Davis Street Tipperary on Tuesday, April 2 at 7.30pm. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
