Ballingarry Tidy Towns would like to remind you that, judging time is from June 1 for this year’s competition. We ask that you make every effort to “Have Ballingarry Looking its Best”. If you see litter please pick it up. If you are walking your dog, clean up after it. If you see weeds pick them. Judges can come at any time, from now until September 1. If we can assist you in any way please let us know.

ST JOSEPH’S NS

St Joseph’s N.S. will hold a “Used Clothing/Mobile Phone Collection” in the school on Thursday, June 6. All mens, womens, childrens used clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, ties, linen, etc in any condition once they are clean. All welcome to drop bags in to the school up to 9.30am on the morning of collection. We also collect “Used Ink Cartridges”. St Joseph’s N.S. will hold their annual Bring and Buy Sale in the school on Friday, June 7, from 12noon to 3pm. Children will sell unwanted toys, books in good condition, donations for cake sale, plant sale appreciated.

PARISH GATHERING

Ballingarry Parish Gathering 2013. In conjunction with the Famine 1848 Walk to The Warhouse, The Commons and The Larry Wall Fitzpatrick Memorial Festival, we invite you all to join us on the weekend of July 27/28. If you have relatives or friends abroad please invite them home to Ballingarry that weekend to enjoy The Gathering. Check out ballingarry.net or the gatheringireland.com for more details.

SCHOOL REUNION

The Old School, The Commons. Our school reunion will be celebrated on June 29 and we would like to invite all past pupils of the school to this event. (See The Gathering website for details). As it may be difficult to make contact with all past pupils we would appreciate any help we can get in making contact with others or collecting old photographs etc. If you would like to help out in any way please text your name to 0863121950 and we will get in touch. Music lessons have resumed in the school on Wednesdays and Fridays.

FUNDRAISING DINNER

LIOS NA MBROC OPEN DAY

New and aspiring pupils are welcome to the school on Thursday next at 1.30pm. We look forward to meeting you. We were awarded our 3rd green flag during the week for conservation of water supplies. Congratulations to our u11 team which qualified for the county semi-final. Though playing well they had to bow out to the bigger Kilruane school.
