KICKHAM GAA NOTES
We are again asking all players, mentors and supporters to please pay up their membership fees for this year. The day to day running of any club in these times is an onerous one and surely the very least that should be done by individuals is to pay their membership to help maintain the status quo. Those players that have been injured over the years can testify how important it is to be insured, especially when surgical intervention is necessary. Please contact Margaret Hayes, Michael Shanahan, Richard Moloney or any Club Officer ASAP. Thank you.
Our U/21 footballers are provisionally fixed to play Aherlow in the West semifinal in New Inn on Sunday next at 5.30pm. Aherlow are a very strong team with a sprinkling of County players but if our lads play to their potential they will make a great game of it and hopefully claim a place in the final. In the event of a draw, extra time will be played. We really need your support for this one so please travel and shout your Parish on, but once again please check fixtures list to confirm as the game may be switched to Saturday.
Senior Hurling League.
Kickhams played Golden Kilfeacle in the second round of the Co. League in Dundrum on Sunday last .This was a much improved performance on their first round display from Kickhams, they were much hungrier and more clinical in their finshing than their opponents from the the throw in and led at half time on the score 2-9 to 1-7. The second half saw more of the same and even though Golden Kilfeacle rallied and tried hard to rein in the lead, Kickhams kept up the pressure and were deserving winners on the score 2-13 to 1-10. Their next game is fixed for this weekend but there was no definite fixture at time of writing. Check fixtures list in this paper to confirm
Junior Hurling League.
Following their great win over Ballylooby in the first round of the Co. League our Juniors play host to Clonmel óg on Sunday at 12pm, again your support would be greatly appreciated.

KNOCKAVILLA/DONASKEIGH KICKHAMS CAMOGIE
The club would like to thank everyone who helped out with our cake sale held last week. To everyone who donated any confectionary or to the people who purchased them, thank you for making it a great fundraising success.
Our junior panel will take to the field this Saturday March 26th in the first competitive game of the season. In Dundrum, with a 5pm throw in, Kickhams will play Annacarty in the first round of the league, so all support would be welcome.
Bon voyage Catriona.
Unfortunately, for most of the playing season, the juniors will have to play without the services of Catriona Horan. Catriona`s studies and work will see her move overseas for a period of six months, and all associated with the club wish her the very best in her new venture.
Catriona has been a member and player with the club since age 8, and anyone who has seen her play down through the years will understand how much of a loss she will be to the club. Catriona`s ability to catch a ball in mid air and her strength and determination to clear her lines has been an inspiration to all who played alongside her, and all in the club look forward to the day when she lines out again in the black and amber.
A timely reminder to any players that may not yet have renewed their membership to please do so as soon as possible by contacting any club officer.
