Summer time comes in this weekend when clocks are put forward one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
Mary Kelly, badminton coach, would like to thank all who supported the fundraising tea/coffee evening, which was held in the Community Hall on Monday last, March 14. She would also like to thank all who helped out on the night, those who supplied buns etc., and those who gave donations. It was all very much appreciated. All proceeds will go towards the medals etc. for the forthcoming Annual Tournament, which will be commencing shortly.
MUINTIR NA TIRE
All are welcome to the Newcastle Annual General Meeting of Muintir na Tire taking place in the Community Hall on tonight Wednesday, March 28, commencing at 8pm. Light refreshments will be served.

GAA TABLE QUIZ
Newcastle GAA Club is holding a Fundraising Table Quiz in the Glenview Lounge, Goatenbridge next Friday night March 25 at 8.30pm. Tables of four for €20. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Club membership is now up for renewal and must be paid to GAA Treasurer Marian O’Dwyer, before March 31. Fees for 2011 are as follows: Adults €40, O.A.P. and students €10, Juveniles (under 16) €5 and family membership for 2 adults and 2 children (Under 16) €80.

Newcastle Junior Hurlers beat Clonoulty-Rossmore in the County Hurling League played last Sunday in Newcastle. Final Score was 1-14 to 1-9.
SCOR NA Bpaisti
The South Final of Scor na bPaisti was held in the GAA Centre, Clonmel on Sunday last. The entertainment on the night was of the highest standard with many teams competing. Newcastle were winners in the Figure Dancing and Set Dancing and now go forward to the County Final to be held in Cashel this weekend and we wish them and their trainer Kathy the best of luck on the night.
