The officers elected at the meeting are as follows: Chairperson: Kevin Ryan, Secretary: Eddie Kennedy, Asst Secretary; Catherine McConigley, Treasurer: Annemarie O’Neill, Registrar: Karen Canty and Lesley Burke, Children’s Officer: Nora Morrissey, PRO: Kevin Langton. The re-establishment of the Brian Borus Camogie Club is a fantastic development and it will provide a great sporting outlet for the young girls of Ballylooby, Clogheen and Burncourt.
The first significant event organised by the club was the Club Registration Day which took place on Sunday, March 20, from 3pm to 4.30pm at the Ballylooby/Castlegrace GAA Grounds. It was huge success with close to fifty young girls, ranging in age from six to 12, taking part in the coaching sessions held on the day. The on-field activities were followed by refreshments for both players and their parents. The club would like to thank all the parents for coming along and bringing their girls to this enjoyable event. It would also like to say a special word of thanks to everyone who helped out in various ways and especially to our special guests: Joe Cahill (County Chairman), Noreen Flanagan (Tipperary Senior player), and Cait Devane (Tipperary Minor player), who all made the journey to Ballylooby.
Training will take place every Sunday at 11am at the Ballylooby/Castlegrace GAA Grounds. K Langton, PRO.
