VEE ROVERS FC

Under 10; Having accounted for Cahir Park the previous week-end, where the scorers were Patrick Griffin, Nathan Cross, Rian Hennessey and Shane Cross (2), the under 10s were at home to Bansha Celtic on Sunday morning in a vital top of the table clash. Bansha had won the previous encounter at Bansha, so this was a game with everything to play for. There was an urgency about our play from the start and Christy English put us one up before half-time. Bansha found it hard to create openings and in the second half ou defence ably marshelled by Kieran Macken, Conor Walsh, Kyle Morrissey and Later Shane O’Gorman, stood firm. We were always inventive up front and with ten minutes to go Shane Cross scored to give us a 2-0 victory.

Under 14s were away to St Kevins/Two Mile Borris on Saturday in the quarter finals of the cup. Despite creating an array of chances, we eventually fell to a 2-1 defeat and so ended our interest in the Cup.

JUNIORS

Juniors; The Junior game at home to Burncourt Celtic on Sunday was cancelled due to a bereavement. The Club extends its sympathies to the family and friends of Jim McGrath Shanbally.

WALK OF DREAMS
