Dyslexia Support Meeting

Cashel Dyslexia Association Support Group will hold a meeting on Monday, October 24, at 7:30p.m. in Cashel Community School.

All are welcome.

A Feast of Social Dancing in Halla na Feile:

On Tuesday, October 25, by special request from our dancing teacher Danny Guidera, Halla na Feile is pleased to host a Social Tea Dance in aid of Ardfinnan N.S. Funds raised will be used to upgrade the Autistic Unit and Sensory Garden. Dancing from 9pm to 12am. Music by Sam O’Doherty. Admission E10. Your support for this worthy cause would be much appreciated.

Social Tea Dance

On Friday, October 28, Halla na Feile we will hold the regular Social Tea Dance, on the last Friday of the month. Dancing from 9pm to 12am. Music by Dermot Lyons, teas and sandwiches will be served and admission is E8 Proceeds, as with all our social dances, go towards the ‘New Halla na Feile Fund’.


Congratulations to the two Pats, Pat O’Donnell and Pat Buckley, on representing the club at the area final of the Humorous Speech and Table Topics Competition, which was held in Clonmel on Sunday. Results have not yet been announced but the Cashel Club will be told at their next club meeting, which is this Thursday, October 20, at 8pm in Gleeson’s Bar, Ladyswell St.(upstairs). Come along for a feast of autumn stories and fun. Guests don’t have to pay as we need an audience. You’ll find we are a warm welcoming group. We intend having an official open night some time soon but in an other sense every night is an open night as guests are always welcome. Toastmasters is a speaking, self-improving, entertaining, informative , socialising , friendly club! Yes-it really is all these things! Cashel Town F.C.

Cashel Town F.C. are holding a Halloween Fancy Dress Party in the Brian Boru, Main Street on Friday night, October 28, at 9pm. Tickets/entrance €E5. Prize of €E100 each for the best dressed lady and gent.

Halloween Make-Up Workshops

Go along to Cashel Library on Friday, October 28, from 3.30pm to 5pm for a Halloween make-up workshop. Places are limited, so booking is essential. Please contact Cashel library on 062 63825 to book your place. This workshop is suitable for children aged 10+.

Halloween Fancy Dress Story-time

Cashel Library will hold a fancy dress story-time on Friday, October 28, 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Children can dress up in their costumes and listen to stories dance to some music and have lots of fun. This event is suitable for children from Junior Infants to second class. Due to limited space please book in advance on 06263856

Book Club and Craft Circle

The next meeting of the children’s 10 to 12 book club will take place on Tuesday, October 25, at 7pm in Cashel Library. New members are always welcome.

The craft circle continues every Wednesday from 10am to 12noon, and social bridge takes place every Friday morning from 10.30am to 1pm. New members are welcome.
