Free children’s event at Cahir Castle

On Saturday, October 29, come along to a free children’s art workshop in Cahir Castle. Children will gather in the Banqueting Hall and have a chance to show their creative talents and at the same time be in with a chance to win some prizes. Prizes will be offered for three age categories: three to five years, six to eight years and nine to 11 years.

Yoga in Cahir

Red Cross

Cahir Red Cross held an information and demonstration evening in Cahir House Hotel last Thursday. The group’s aim is to recruit new members into the Cahir Branch. The Cahir Branch is off to a dream start by having its own ambulance. If you would wish to join you should contact Kim Connolly at 0876873303. New recruits will be taught all there is to know about first aid and CPR.

Cahir Comhaltas

The members of Cahir Comhaltas and the Seisiun Ceolta Feasa group would like to extend their sympathies to John Lonergan and family on the recent death of his sister, Ann Walsh, of Knockgraffon, Cahir.

Flower and Garden Club

Cahir Flower and Garden Club will hold their next meeting in Cahir House Hotel at 8pm on Wednesday, October 26. There will be a hands-on jewellery demonstration by Amanda. Everyone will make a piece of jewellery to take home. Non-members welcome.

Cake and Sale

A Cake Sale, bric a brack and books sale, garden plants and tool, along with a ladies antique bicycle will be on sale at the Butler Charteris Hall, Cahir in aid of St. Paul’s Church, on Sunday, October 23, from 1.30 p.m to 4 p.m. Raffle, teas and refreshments. All are welcome.
