Sinead Moore informs us that the Mullinahone Community playschool will hold its AGM on Wednesday, August 21, at 8pm in the playschool. Parents should collect their enrolment pack on the night and leaders will discuss the allocation of morning/afternoon sessions. Looking forward to a fun filled year ahead.
The 31st Kickham Country Weekend took place in Mullinahone last weekend. The weekend was officially opened on Friday night by Dr. Seamus Freeman, Bishop of Ossory, a native of the parish. The usual programme of history lectures and historic tours took place. Mass on Sunday was offered for C.J. Kickham and his biographer James Maher. Afterwards an oration was given over Kickham’s grave and wreaths were laid.
The local lotto jackpot draw was held on Tuesday, August 6. The numbers drawn were 11,16,17 and 26. There was no jackpot winner but five lucky dips were drawn. These shared the Match 3 prize of €150. Congrats to Alice Houlihan, Conor McGrath, M. Rochford, Ned Brett and Josie Duggan. Next draw is Monday, August 19, when the jackpot could be worth €8,950.
Summer Book Bus
The summer book bus has been well supported. It will continue on Tuesdays in the church car park for another two weeks. Your support will ensure that the bus returns next summer.
