Burncourt Celtic FC will hold a Field Evening in aid of South Tipperary Hospice on Friday, August 30, 6pm to 9pm at Burncourt Celtic Football Grounds.
It promises to be a fun evening with barbecue and lots of challenges, all funds raised going to the Hospice group. Raffle in Mulcahy’s Bar at 9.30pm.
Burncourt Community Council would like to thank all worked on and who supported the recent Gathering Festival. The medieval banners have now been taken down and the Community Council will shortly begin work on issues such as the renovation work needed to the back roof of the Community Hall and setting up the Text Alert system.
Home Produce Day
The members of Skeheenarinky Flower Show have launched the brochure for their upcoming ‘Home Produce Day.’ It will be held at Skeheenarinky School on Saturday, August 31. Secretary Deirdre Walsh will answer questions 0872894340. The ‘Home Produce Day’ will be in a simpler format than in previous years, but nonetheless, will be professionally judged. There will be something to interest everyone, young and old, as well as the marquees holding all the entries, there will be demonstrations and entertainment to make the day a memorable one. No need to pre-enter, just turn up with your entry between 11.30am and 1.30 pm. Gates open to the public at 2pm.
