Double victory for Swan U-16 team

Carrick Swan’s Intermediate footballers received a walkover from Moyle Rovers in the South Intermediate Football Championship last Saturday.

The Club’s Senior hurlers played Waterford side Tallow in Davin Park in a challenge in preparation for the county championship’s 4th round.

The Club’s Minor hurlers were defeated by St Mary’s by a point in Cloneen on Sunday in the South Minor Hurling Championship. The team play Moyle Rovers today (Wednesday) in Kilsheelan at 7.15pm. Follow the match on the Club’s Twitter/Facebook pages.

The U-16s beat Ballingarry in Davin Park and also defeated Killenaule in Davin Park last week. Meanwhile, Swan supporters are encouraged to cheer on the U-14s in their game against St Mary’s on The Green at 7pm this Thursday. The Club thanks St John’s Volunteers in Wexford for the hospitality shown to its U-12 team, who played a challenge match there last Sunday. Commiserations to Swan player Bill Walsh and the Tipp U-21 team on losting to Clare in the Munster U-21 Final. Bill has hurled exceptionally well for the county all year.
