A coffee morning in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and South Hospice will take place in Duhill Hall, on March 16. Daffodil merchandise will be on sale along with bunches of fresh daffodils, cakes etc and tickets for a raffle that will be held during the morning. 10am – 2pm in Duhill Hall on Friday, March16. SCRAP METAL COLLECTION
The GAA club is trying to raise some funds through the method of collecting scrap metal from the parish. So if you have anything that you think would help the cause please contact Derek Coffey on 0868536681. We are looking for any old unwanted items that may be around the house, farmyard or even stuck in the ditch that you would like removed. We will do all the hard work all you have to do is call Derek and the Club will arrange the collection.
Club membership is now due and can be paid to any committee member. We have reduced our membership rates for the coming year in order to try to increase the number of members within the club. The death occurred of Michael Hanrahan, late of Castlegrace, during the past week. We extend our sympathy to his wife Eileen, son Pat, daughters Mary-Anne and Helen, son in-law, daughter in-law grandchildren, relatives and friends. Michael’s requiem mass was held in Duhill Church on Thursday 2nd March followed by his interment in the adjoining cemetery. (May he rest in peace)
