CEREMONY/MASS OF HEALING
On Tuesday, March 13, Fr John Keane, who conducts ceremonies of healing throughout the country, will celebrate Mass in Bansha Church at 7pm. His healing ministry will be the focal point. This will be a wonderful and very special opportunity for us to focus on sickness and entrust ourselves and our people who are ill in any way to the care of Almighty God. Everybody will be welcomed at this ceremony.
GALTEE ROVERS ST PECAUN’S
Our under 21 footballers booked a place in the West semi-finals with a six point win over the Emly/Treacy’s combination in Anacarthy on Saturday. With a couple of new faces from Round 1 we hit goals through Colin Power and Niall Daly to lead by 3 points at the break. The Combo hit back after the break to take the lead for a while but a string of Bansha points put the issue beyond doubt, 2-8 to 2-2. This weekend our senior footballers are due to open their County League campaign under lights against Clonmel Óg.
There is lots of activity on the juvenile fields at the moment with West Peil na n-Óg in full flow. Last weekend our under 14s had a good win over Kickhams in the quarter finals and hopefully we can go one step farther than last year. Indoor hurling continues each Monday night and the under 12 and under 16 competitions are just around the corner.
Trocaire boxes are now available from both churches in the parish, pick one up at the back of the church.
The annual collection for the Sacristan of our churches will be taken up this coming weekend, your thoughtfulness to this collection will express well deserved appreciation for our Sacristans
