Our u10’s travelled to Dr. Morris Park on Saturday last for a county hurling blitz where they played three very competitive games against Kilruain Mac Donagh, Holy Cross and St. Marys. They won all their games. Well done lads.
Our u12’s played a challenge against St. Pat’s last week in Cloneen in hurling and had a good win. U14’s had no matches last week but are due to play a lot of games in the coming week.
U16’s had a busy week last week playing football which saw them first of all in a play-off against St. Pats in Killenaule last Tuesday evening. Ballingarry came out on top in a great game of football which saw them progress to the semi-final against Ballylooby on Thursday evening in Marfield. That was another brilliant game which had to go into extra time when both sides finished level on 1-06 apiece. They played 10 mins each half extra time and Ballingarry came out winners on a final score of 1-10 to 1-07. It would be hard to pick out individual best players that evening because every single person on that team gave it their all.
On Sunday last we travelled to Fethard to take part in the South Final against Cahir. Things didn’t go our way that day and unfortunately we were beaten on a score of 1-03 to 0-01. Hard luck lads and hopefully we’ll have better luck in the hurling. Well done to Cahir and we wish them the best of luck in the County Semi Final.
