STYLE IN THE VALLEY
Ladies - put the date June 17 in your diary for a day of fashion and style in Kilcoran Lodge Hotel from 2pm to 5pm. “Style in the Valley,” being organised by members of Burncourt Community Council and an team of enthusiastic volunteers, will feature beauty, hair and holistic therapists, an image consultant and all types of fashion from dresses, bags, jewellery and shoe boutiques. Admission is €E10. Tickets will be available shortly. Stands are practically booked out to date, however if there are any people in the locality with beauty or holistic products, please contact 087/2887615.

ANNUAL FESTIVAL - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Burncourt Community Council will host its Annual Festival on the weekend of July 21. This is always a popular event in the community calendar. The running of the festival takes a lot of energy and manpower and an input of extra energy, ideas and enthusiasm whether it comes from individuals or local clubs would be appreciated by the members of the Community Council. People may have heard of the idea “Volunteer for a While” and this is what you are being asked to do so that this annual festival can remain alive. A festival meeting will be held on Friday, June 8, at 8.30 in the Community Hall. Please come along, after all “Your Community Needs You”
PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP SAYS THANKS
Burncourt Parent and Toddler group would like to thank all who attended the make up lesson last Friday night in the hall.
Beauty teacher Niamh Walsh from Chic Beauty Salon, Kilworth, gave a wonderful demonstration and with the help of her assistant Emma answered our entire make up questions. Thank to our sponsors Butlers Bar for the hamper, Ollie Keating for the wine, Jackie Dowling, Marian Slattery Butler and Darina O’Gorman for the spot prizes. Thanks to Richie Burke for all his help in setting up the hall.
A great night was had by all. We raised E450 which will go toward the purchase of toys
The group meet in the hall on a Wednesday morning at 10.30am until 12.30pm. All welcome.

Well done to our u8’s who played Cahir at the Cahir GAA field day. The girls showed all their practice is paying off and gave a superb performance, keep it up girls!
Our u12’s took part in Cáman to Croker, on Saturday May 5. They face Kilbrittan/Timoleague (Cork), Corofin (Clare) and Bothar na Trá (Galway). Also well done to Linda Murphy who won the competition which got the girls to Croker!
The u14’s lost to Moyle Rovers in their last round of the Championship and at the moment are practicing for an u13 league.
Training Tuesdays: U8 and 10’s - 6.15pm to 7pm. U12’s and 14’s - 7pm to 8pm.
BRIAN BORUS FOOTBALL
The u12s played Moyle Rovers in their second championship match on Tuesday last in Ballylooby. This was a very entertaining game and a very even match, with a draw being the final result. Next up is an away game to Cahir on Monday night. Get well soon to Sarah Halley, who recently received an injury. We hope to have you back soon.
U14s played Moyle Rovers in their third game, and came out comfortable winners. They play Fethard next, in the last round on Friday night in Clogheen. This is their final group match.
