The Division 2 South Final of the Premier Games U/12 Football took place last Friday when Kilsheelan took on Clerihan. Kilsheelan were first off the mark, with a point from Jamie Roche. Clerihan were awarded a penalty which was duly dispatched to the net and they then followed with three unanswered points. Jamie Roche and Mark Stokes (2) added points for Kilsheelan to leave their side trailing by 0-4 to 1-4 at the interval.

On the resumption Sean Freaney added 2-1 to his side’s tally to leave the sides on 2-5 to 1-8 after forty minutes of top-class football so extra time had to be played.

By the end of the first half of extra time Kilsheelan were in arrears by three points on a scoreline of 2-7 to 2-10. The defence kept Clerihan scoreless for the last ten minutes and managed to claw back the three points so it ended all square on 2-10 each.
