COMMUNITY ALERT

A church gate collection to raise funds for community alert will be held in Golden and Kilfeacle on July 28 and 29. Your support would be greatly appreciated. These funds will be used to purchase personal alarms for older persons.

SELF HELP AFRICA COLLECTION

Thanks to all who contributed to the church gate collection last weekend. Total collected €442.50. Kilfeacle €113.80 and Golden €328.70.

GOLDEN BINGO

Bingo continues each Thursday night in the hall with lucky number. Come along and enjoy and chance your luck.

Golden Days - A History of Golden National School. Copies of the book are available at SPAR and Golden PO - €20 each.

KILFEACLE TENNIS CLUB

Kids tennis continues every Friday. Nine to 11 years (6pm to 7pm) 12+ years (7pm to 8pm)

SENIOR CITIZENS TRIP

Our trip this year takes us to New Ross, Co Wexford, on Tuesday, July 31, visiting Ross Tapestry, The Dunbrody famine ship as well as a bus tour of the John F Kennedy Arboretum and some time for shopping. Fare is €40 which includes entry to all the above as well as lunch and dinner. If interested in going then please give your name to Margaret Tuohy on 72372 before July 25th as bus is almost full.

Congratulations to Josh Keane and other members of the Tipp Minor team who had a great win over Clare last weekend in the Munster Final. Best of Luck to them in the All Ireland Semi final.

BANSHA LADIES U12 FOOTBALL WIN

Congradulations to the three Golden/Kilfeacle girls Leah O’Meara (capt), Eimear Heffernan and Abbi Ryan who were part of Bansha u12 ladies football team who won the county title last Friday against hot favourites Clonmel commercials. It was a memorial night for captain and player of the match Leah as it was also her birthday.
