Best of luck to Michael Ryan as he heads off to the London Olympics 2012. It is a great honour for Michael of Cullen Roadm, Oola to represent his country in the eventing competition which comprises of Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country. There will be great interest in Michael’s progress and we hope with a bit of luck he might just be in line for major honours.

Every Tuesday in Oola at 8.30pm, all are welcome.

Oola 0-9, Bruff 0-10.

Bruff held on for a one point victory in a game played in heavy rain which made life difficult for both teams with very slippery under foot conditions.Bruff were first to score after five minutes with a point from play but Daniel O`Dea equalised for Oola a minute later.A dominant spell for Bruff saw them score three unanswered points to take a three point lead after 20 minutes. Oola did respond and were back on level terms at the halt time break 0-4 each with points from Richie English(2) and Pat Ryan.

After the break Oola were ahead when Darragh O’Donovan pointed after twenty seconds but Bruff were not to be out done and once again hit three points in as many minutes for a two point lead. Both teams exchanged points but Bruff still had a two point advantage with time almost up.Darragh O`Donovan did reduce the lead to a single point in injury time and was unlucky with Oola`s final effort which just fell short into the goalkeepers hands.

Scorersaniel O`Dea 0-2,Darragh O`Donovan 0-4(1F),Richie English 0-2,Pat Ryan 0-1
