Clogheen community honoured the Trojan work of Sr Aine Power at a reception in St Pauls Community Centre following her recent retirement as matron of St Theresa’s Hospital Clogheen after 36 years of tireless work and commitment. A beautifully decorated hall greeted Sr Aine on her arrival. She spoke fondly of her many years working in the hospital and the many friends she made. Representatives from the H.S.E., hospice and many more nursing groups made presentations to her, local politicians spoke warmly about the wonderful work she did to bring St Theresa’s to a very high standard. Entertainment was provided by the Gordinaires. A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all. We wish Sr Aine many years of health and happiness.
