Lisa O’Brien, sister of the late Fr. Colm O’ Brien, offers her sincere thanks to the parishioners of Clonmel for their help and support for the Colm O’ Brien Memorial Cycle. €2,700 was raised for each St. Vincent de Paul Society in Clonmel, Waterford and Tramore.

Renovations

We are most grateful for the generosity of so many parishioners who have donated €137,590 towards the renovation of our Church. The total cost of the renovations is €875,000. Loan - €500,000; Balance to pay - £362,410. Last week donations of €150 and €5O were received. Thank You.

Public First Aid Course

Would you know what to do if a loved one, friend or work colleague injured themselves? Clonmel Red Cross is running a First Aid course for the public which started last Wednesday in Mulcahy House. Area parishes social evening

The Clonmel Area Parishes Social Evening with dinner, cabaret and dancing will be held in Hotel Minella at 7.30pm on Friday, 26th October. The cabaret will feature Derek Ryan (baritone) and Deirdre Ryan (soprano) with accompanist Mary Rose McNally. Tickets at €25 each are available from Ss Peter and Paul’s bookshop, the Church of the Resurrection, the Friary Office and Marian’s Bookshop.

Liturgical music workshop

A Liturgical Music Workshop With Liam Lawton will take place next Wednesday, l0th October at St. John’s Pastoral Centre, Waterford at 7.30pm. The cost is €l5 including the music book, CD and light refreshments. Booking is essential at 051-874199, e-mail stjohnspastoralcentre@eircom.net

Barnardos Volunteer appeal

Barnardos in Tipperary are seeking volunteers to assist with local bucket collections on Friday, 19th and Saturday, 20th October in Clonmel. If you have some time to spare or if you need more information contact Sinéad or Suzanne on 01-4530355 or e-mail volunteers@barnardos.ie
