GALTEE ROVERS - ST PECAUN’S
Cards - All card players are reminded that our regular progressive 45 game continues on Monday night, at 8.30pm. It costs €5 to play and refreshments are served.
Junior Football - On Friday night our junior footballers were defeated by Arravale Rovers in a semi-final play-off. Despite conceding an early goal we settled quickly and hit a string of points but Arravale finished the first half stronger to lead by a goal at the break. The second half was a different story as we lost our way completely and eventually lost out on a score of 3-11 to 0-7.
U10s in County Blitz - The future of Galtee Rovers St Pecaun’s Ladies Football Club looks very bright indeed as our U10 girls took part and put up a splendid performance in the County Tipperary U10 Blitz. They won all their matches by large margins and they all enjoyed the matches of the blitz. Team: Aoife Flynn, SallyAnn O’Dwyer, Megan Heffernan, Niamh Roche, Megan Tynan, Kate Flannery, Chloe Peters, Eimer Heffernan, Caoimhe O’Dwyer, Ellie Peters, Saoirse Lyons, Sarah Finnane, Ella Morrissey, Clodagh Fanning. There were 20 teams participating in this Blitz and a big thank you from Galtee Rovers to the organisers as it was a pleasure to take part. A big shout out also to the trainers and mentors of this team who have given up their time tirelessly – Justin Flynn, Seanie Peters, Lar Roche and all the parents who have been present to supervise and support this team.
