The group has been responsible for a number ofinnovative and successful ventures across the Knockmealdown region in its short existence including the Tour of the Knockmealdowns bicycle run, a Dawn Chorus event at Glenleigh Gardens, a Demo & Dine event in Cahir House, a well supported Halloween walking event in Newcastle, a promotional evening at the Old Convent in Clogheen, the ongoing Historic Graves project, a recently completed Walks Awareness Training Programme, continuing development of Kildanogue Duck ponds as a recreational asset and designation of a range of loop and linear walks along the Tipperary side of the Knockmealdown Mountains. The group has also been the catalyst for the formation of a number of sub-groups such as the Knockmealdown Walking Club, the South Tipperary Cycling Club and has a supporting role in Éigse Newcastle.

Officers elected: Kevin O’Donnell - Chairperson, Marian O’Dwyer – Vice Chairperson, Seamus Butler - Secretary, P.J. English – Treasurer, Jim O’Brien – Assistant Treasurer, Diarmaid Condon PRO.
