The South Tipperary Disability Groups Forum, Tipperary Gold Star and the South Tipperary Committee and Voluntary Forum are hosting an open Disability Awareness Day at Knockanrawley Resource Centre in Tipperary Town, Thursday, December 13, 11am to 4pm. The event will showcase services, aids and appliances that are available locally for people with disabilities and their families. Information stands include: HSE, Citizens Advice, Social Welfare, local shops and pharmacies in Tipperary, Adapted Living, Storage Solutions and Kingstons shoes (fittings for children with disabilities). Other agencies include: Muintir Na Tire, Brainwave, Alzheimer’s – Clonmel, MS Society, Genio, BHP Ins, IWA – Tipp, Deafhear and others.
Lattin/Cullen Senior Citizens, Widows & Widowers annual Christmas Party was held on Sunday, December 2. Our day commenced with Mass celebrated by Fr Egan, who described our senior citizens as ‘the hidden treasures in our communities, lives and homes, a wealth of information.’ Pat Harvey was on hand to accompany all our singers. We were treated to the musical talents of ‘The Lattin Lads.’ We thank everyone who contributed to our church gate collection and to Lattin Lawn Tennis Club,our main sponsor for the past seven years.
The children put a lot of work into completing their Green Schools project on Litter and Waste and have submitted their work to An Taisce. Congratulations to Conor Buckley on securing third place in the Tipperary Credit Union poster competition; also to James O’Halloran-Kenny, Pauric Duddy and Mark O’Brien who achieved third place in Write a Story project organised by Tipperary Town Library. The pupils are practising for this year’s nativity play – Stable Manners. They are looking forward to performing it on December 17, at 7pm, in St. Patrick’s Church, Cullen.
Aisling Park, Cullen, will stage the Fourth Division Shield final next Sunday, when the B Team will play St Kierans, Cahir. Last Sunday, an under-strength A Team defeated Killenaule Rovers by 3 -1.

At the recent meeting of Lattin/Cullen GAA Club a vote of sympathy was passed to the O’Brien family Ballinard on the death of Mrs Josephine O’Brien and the O’Dwyer family, Carron, on the death of Mrs Bridget O’Dwyer.
Schools Matches - St. Anne’s Junior Team won their Munster Quarter Final with four from Lattin on the team: Lara O’Dwyer, Katie O’Donoghue, Emer Quirke and Ciara Cunningham.
Ladies A.G.M will be Wednesday, with Bord na nOg, 8pm in Lattin.
