The South Tipperary Disability Groups Forum, Tipperary Gold Star and the South Tipp Comm and Voluntary Forum are hosting an open Disability Awareness Day at Knockanrawley Resource Centre on Thursday December 13 from 11am to 4pm.
The purpose of the event is to display and showcase all of the services, aids and appliances that are available locally in Tipperary Town for people with disabilities and their families.
The event is open to all. The range of information stands hosted on the day will include: HSE, Citizens Advice, Social Welfare, Local shops and pharmacies in Tipperary providing aids and appliances and services for people with disabilities, Adapted Living, Storage Solutions and Kingston’s shoes who will do measurements and fittings for children with disabilities on the day. Muintir Na Tire, Brainwave, Alzheimer’s – Clonmel, MS Society, Genio, BHP Ins, IWA – Tipp, Deafhear will also be there on the day.
