The new County Draw is due to commence again on May 17 and our promoters will be calling. Hopefully you will be able to continue your support. We appreciate that there are many demands on your finances but the prizes are very attractive with cars, holidays and valuable cash prizes on offer.

Well done to the U10 football team who played brilliantly in Fethard last Saturday in a football blitz when they competed against Carrick Swan, Clonmel Og and Moyle Rovers. A special word of praise goes to U10 star young Michael Ryan who rose early the following morning after his exploits on the field and took part in the Darkness into Light walk and was the first back to the hotel having walked at a fast pace for the five miles.

The U15 Interdivisional Hurling Title was won by South Tipperary for the first time and we congratulate Daire Brennan and Mark Kehoe who played in the Final.

In the U16 competition South Tipperary beat the Mid in the Semi Final but had to give best to the North in the Final. Kilsheelan players involved here were Martin Gibbs and Kevin Kehoe.

We wish Davy Vaughan and Majella Doolan many years of wedded bliss as they get married next weekend.

Well done to Andrew Butler, Ballyglasheen who has won the National Student Enterprise Award, by compiling two books on everything one needs to know about rearing hens. Andrew has not had a minute to himself over the past week with appearances on the local paper, national TV and again last Saturday morning on national radio where he is simply a natural.

Last week Clonmel was the venue for blood donations and in approx three months time the clinic will return. There is a national shortage of blood donors, and you never know the day when you may need blood yourself, perhaps you or a member of your family would like to become a regular donor. Watch out for the local adverts and turn up at the Clonmel Park Hotel at the appointed time.
