Arty Carrick students make a book

Students from Carrick-on-Suir’s Comeragh College showcased their artistic talents at the recent “Make a Book Exhibition” in Dublin.

Students from Carrick-on-Suir’s Comeragh College showcased their artistic talents at the recent “Make a Book Exhibition” in Dublin.

The second year students contributed a piece of art; a drawing, painting or piece of ceramics based on photographs the students had taken of Carrick-on-Suir and compiled it in a book.

“Carrick-on-Suir, My Town, My Book” was the title of their exhibition piece.The “Make a Book Exhibition” took place at the Civic Offices at Wood Quay. It attracts entries from more than 100 schools all over the country and has been run for the past 14 years by the Junior Certificate Schools Programme.

The Comeragh College students also visited the National Museum in Collins Barracks while in Dublin.
